Geeked! Amped! Fired Up!

Running in Circles was invited to be the house band at a House Of Blues event scheduled for next August, and we accepted.

YOWZERS!!! Holy smokin' guitars, Batman! WAAAAAHOOOOOOO! WOOOOOWWWWWWW!

I'm floored. I'm pumped. I'm thrilled!

Along with our current material, we'll be learning a dozen "jam" tunes so some music industry-types can join us on stage. Particulars will be worked out over the next several months, as local celebrities are also being invited to join in the soiree.

Awesome. Simply awesome. I can't put into words how excited I am. :-)

Quipper!

Good for you! Even though I don't know what a House Of Blues event means, it sure sounds exciting! Although I would think House Of Browns would be more appropriate. Anyhow, congrats.

To all: Thanks all around!!! The band is really excited about the opportunity (as you can tell). House of Blues was not on my radar, so it's quite a pleasant surprise. We are our own worst critics, so the invite was a high compliment.

Polly (Apron): No "road" for me, although homeschooling would give the opportunity for that. :-)

Scottius: House of Blues is a franchised club, founded by Dan Akroyd and a couple other folks. They have a nice size club in downtown Cleveland. It's the mountaintop if you're in a cover band, and a great "first major" step if you're in an original band. If we do well, this could lead to regular shows at HOB downtown.

Kayla: Plenty of photos will be taken. Matter of fact, I've been deficient with photos from any of our shows. That changes tomorrow night.

Congratulations...
Now it makes me kind of curious about your band....do you have a CD of your music I could listen to or MP3's I can download?

Congratulations! Marie sent me. Do you play any Mozart?

J: I can send you a list of songs off-post. Tryin' to convince our lead guitarist to add a song list to the website, but to no avail (yet).

Bernadette: Thanks! The closest we may come to playing Mozart is "Rock Me, Amadeus". :-) I like classical music in doses. I've frustrated myself a number of times trying to play Chopin on the piano. It's a humbling experience for me.

Q,
So how do you want to do it?

Hi Bernadette,

The Quipper has been known to grace our home with Chopin on the piano, but the Mozart in our house comes form the CD player.

He also composes outstanding hard blues on the piano.
